Hello, I’m Mike!

I’m a professional photographer based in Holden, Massachusetts, working throughout Worcester, Central Massachusetts, and all of New England. I’ve been shooting professionally since 2007, with a primary focus on wedding photography, alongside food, events, real estate, headshots, and brand photography.

I’m married and live in ranch that we share with two dogs and two cats. When I’m not working, I spend my time hiking, traveling, and planning trips around great food destinations. I’ve traveled extensively across the United States and overseas, and that exposure heavily influences how I approach people, spaces, and storytelling.

Most of the weddings I photograph are local, but I also shoot a consistent number of destination weddings every year. Whether it’s a 300–400 person celebration or an intimate two-person elopement, the approach stays the same: preparation, adaptability, and taking the responsibility seriously.

I got into wedding photography the same way I approach my work today—someone asked, I initially said no, then decided I could do it properly. I bought the gear, learned fast, showed up prepared, and committed. That mindset has stayed with me ever since.

Also worth noting: I will go out of my way for Waffle House. That tells you more than it probably should.

I plan thoroughly so the shoot itself feels controlled and low-stress.

Every job starts with understanding the environment, the pace, and the end use of the images. I work out of a primary kit and break it down into smaller setups depending on the shoot—backpack when mobility matters, shoulder bag when speed and access matter, lighting gear only when it meaningfully improves the final result.

Clients can expect clear communication, reliability, and usable images—photographs that don’t just look good, but actually work for their intended purpose, whether that’s marketing, branding, documentation, or personal legacy.

I’m comfortable under pressure. Weddings are inherently high-stakes: tight timelines, multiple vendors, emotional moments, and no room for error. I stay calm, adapt quickly, and keep things moving while respecting everyone’s schedule. Working with a wide range of personalities over the years has made me patient when needed and direct when necessary.

After the shoot, everything is backed up, organized, and secured. I edit efficiently and deliberately—often starting immediately—because fast turnaround matters. My goal is to deliver images faster than expected without sacrificing quality.

What Makes Me Different

I don’t rely on rigid timelines because real life doesn’t follow them.

Instead of treating photography like an orchestra reading exact notes at exact times, I treat it more like jazz—watching what’s happening, reading energy, adjusting in real time, and staying in rhythm with the people involved. That flexibility is what keeps things running smoothly when plans shift or moments unfold unexpectedly.

I also don’t phone it in. When someone hires me—whether for a wedding, a branding session, or a corporate event—I’m on their team.

Technically, lighting is where I consistently stand apart. I care deeply about getting the light right in-camera. My images are close to finished when I take them. Editing is about refinement: contrast, color accuracy, subtle cropping, and polish—not heavy presets or fixing mistakes later. The result is clean, professional work that holds up over time.

From small family shoots to national brands, the level of professionalism stays the same.

I work best with couples who value preparation, experience, and trust, especially when it comes to weddings. I enjoy the challenge of getting it right the first time, on a day that matters, with no do-overs.

I also work well with businesses and organizations that need photography that actually functions—real estate photography, food photography, events, headshots, and branding imagery that can be used confidently across websites, social media, and marketing materials.

Being based in Central Massachusetts means I’m a short drive to Boston, and easily accessible to New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Maine. I love to travel and regularly work throughout the region and beyond.

If you’re looking for someone who shows up prepared, adapts when things change, and treats the responsibility seriously, we’ll work well together.

I still care because this work lasts. Photographs outlive the day, the event, and sometimes even the people in them. Being trusted with that responsibility never gets old. My job is to make sure you never regret the record of it—whether that’s a wedding day, a business milestone, or a brand you’re building.

I take the job seriously so you don’t have to worry about it.

If this sounds like a good fit, reach out through my contact page and let’s talk. A quick conversation is usually all it takes to see if we’re aligned and to get the ball moving.
